Terms of service

These terms cover your use of Kensa-ya (https://kensa-ya.com), operated by [Legal entity name, e.g. Quasi Interactive Pty Ltd] (ABN [ABN]) trading as Elyra Software. By creating an account or buying a report you agree to them.

What the service is

Kensa-ya reads a photo or PDF of a Japanese vehicle auction sheet you upload, translates it into plain English, and, for supported countries, estimates landed cost and checks import eligibility against published rules.

This report is an automated translation and estimate to help with decisions. It is not a mechanical inspection, legal advice or a guarantee of import eligibility or cost. Always confirm with a licensed importer or compliance workshop before buying.

What it is not

• It is not a physical or mechanical inspection of the vehicle. We only see what is written on the sheet.
• It is not legal, tax, customs or financial advice.
• Landed cost figures are estimates. Duty and tax rates come from official sources on the date shown; shipping, compliance and inspection costs are typical ranges. Your actual costs will differ.
• Eligibility results are a guide. Only the relevant government agency decides whether a vehicle can be imported and registered.

Accuracy

Sheets are read by an automated system. Handwriting, smudges and photo quality affect accuracy. Where a field cannot be read with confidence we mark it unclear rather than guess, and we show the original sheet beside the translation so you can check it. Always compare the report with the original and confirm anything important with your exporter, a licensed importer or a compliance workshop before you bid.

Your account and credits

• You need an account to buy and use reports. Keep access to your email secure; anyone who can open your sign-in email can use your account.
• A credit is used when you submit a sheet. If we cannot produce a report (for example the image is not an auction sheet or reading fails), the credit is returned automatically.
• Credits do not expire while the service operates and have no cash value except as set out in the refund policy.

Your uploads

You must have the right to upload the sheets you send us. You keep any rights you have in them. You give us permission to store and process them to produce your report and to check and improve how accurately we read sheets, as described in the privacy policy. Uploaded sheet images are deleted 90 days after upload.

Sharing

Reports are private by default. If you turn on sharing, anyone with the link can view the report and the original sheet image until you turn it off.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no scraping, reselling reports as your own product without permission, uploading unlawful content, or trying to break or overload the system.

Consumer guarantees and liability

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. To the extent the law allows, and apart from those guarantees, we are not liable for decisions you make based on a report, including bidding on, buying, shipping or complying a vehicle, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the report concerned or resupplying the service.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
