Very poor, heavily modified, or has flood/fire damage. Sometimes used for cars with major aftermarket changes.
Tip: Walk away unless you know exactly why it is graded 1.
Also written as 1.0.
The overall grade is the inspector's one-number summary. Always read it together with the interior grade (A to E) and the damage marks on the car diagram: two cars with the same grade can need very different work.
